Basic English Teaching Methods to Students of Single Enrollment in Vocational Colleges

高职院校单招生是中专生单独录取的高职生,一般学生的英语基础较差,学生面对英语学习通常缺乏兴趣,加上教师采取的教学方法较为单一与传统,导致学生学习积极性逐渐降低。随着当前经济全球化时代的到来,英语的作用越来越突出,企业对应聘人员的英语应用能力提出了更高的要求,这就使得高职院校尤其重视单招生基础英语教学工作。然而从实际情况来看,当前高职院校单招生基础英语教学还存在一些问题,本文主要分析其中存在的问题,并采取有效策略予以解决,为提高高职院校单招生的英语水平奠定基础。

Students of Single Enrollment in Vocational Colleges refer to higher vocational students through single admission.Most of these students are poor in English and are not interested in its learning, on the other hand, teaching methods are traditional, which gradually reduce students’ learning enthusiasm. With the globalization, English plays an increasing role in job recruitment, which makes vocational colleges attach great importance to Basic English teaching for students of single enrollment.But at present there are many problems in its teaching. This thesis mainly analyzes its problems, and then finds some practical and effective methods to solve these problems.
