Analysis of risk factors for the second contralateral hip fracture in the elderly

老年髋部骨折术后发生对侧骨折的影响因素包括:患者自身固有因素(如年龄、性别、BMI),疾病相关因素(如骨质疏松、视力低下、痴呆症、眩晕、心脏疾病、呼吸系统疾病、手术方式等),社会因素(如居住地保健条件)。老年患者髋部骨折术后,必须熟练掌握可能引起对侧骨折的危险因素,并采取相应的措施,以利于患者预后的生活质量。早期预防老年髋部骨折术后发生对侧骨折对于提高患者生存率、改善预后具有重要的意义。

The aim of this study is to identify those general risk factors which may increase the risk of subsequent contralateral hip fracture after the initial hip fracture in elderly patients. Age, gender, BMI, osteoporosis, low vision, dementia, dizziness, cardiac diseases, respiratory diseases, surgical methods and living health care are related to subsequent contralateral hip fracture after the initial hip fracture. It is crucial to promote prevention early. In the treatment of elderly patients with the initial hip fracture, risk factors should be seriously cared to reduce the incidence of complications and to improve the prognosis.
