In July, 1978, China issued the first set of stamps, known as the ＂Customs Large Dragon＂ in the stamp-collecting circle and referred as the ＂Large Dragon Stamps＂. It is one of the most precious stamp sets in the Chinese history as well as an important symbol of the start of the Chinese modern postal service. The issuance of the Large Dragon Stamps lifted the curtain of Chinese stamps issuance, and is a milestone in the development history of Chinese modern postal service.
