金融发展提高城镇化水平吗?——基于省际面板数据的实证分析

Does Financial Development Improve the Level of Urbanization?——An Empirical Analysis Based on the Panel Data of Provinces

论文首先对金融发展与城镇化的关系进行了理论分析,然后又通过中国1990年—2015年的省际面板数据对金融发展和城镇化之间的关系进行了实证分析,结果发现:金融发展规模的扩大对城镇化进程具有显著地推动作用,并且这种推动力会随着城镇化水平的提高而增强;金融发展效率的提高能够显著地促进城镇化率的提高,但这种作用在城镇化的初级和高级阶段更明显。基于此,要加快金融产品供给侧改革、加强金融扶持力度等措施的实行来推动中国新型城镇化的发展。

The paper first analyzes the relationship between financial development and urbanization, and then makes an empirical analysis on the relationship between financial development and urbanization through China＇s 1990-2015 years provincial panel data. The results show that the expansion of the scale of financial development has a significant role in promoting the process of urbanization and the impetus will be enhanced with the improvement of the urbanization level; the improvement of the efficiency of financial development can significantly promote the improvement of the urbanization rate, but this effect is more obvious in the primary and advanced stages of urbanization. Based on the above conclusions, our country should accelerate the implementation of the financial products supply-side reform, strengthen financial support and other measures to promote the development of new urbanization in China.
