摘要
库切是一个文学声誉极高,公众曝光度极低的作家。他在自传三部曲小说《男孩》《青春》和《夏日》中,以第三人称叙事视角探究特定时空、特定语境中的自我真实。坎尼米耶的《库切传》运用传统的传记写作手法,将库切自1940年至今的丰富生平材料收容在文本中,客观呈现小说外作家库切的真实生活,具有权威的实证价值。两种不同的传记为读者理解库切搭建起有益的桥梁。
Coetzee is a writer with a high reputation and a rare exposure in public. He explores self-truth in the specific time and space as well as the particular context from the third-person narrative perspective in his autobiographical trilogy Boyhood,Youth and Summertime. In J. M. Coetzee: A Life in Writing,Kannemeyer,with the traditional writing of autobiography,includes all the rich life materials of Coetzee since 1940,which objectively display the real life of Coetzee as a writer in the real world with the authoritative empirical value. Two different biographies build a useful bridge for readers to understand Coetzee.
