Design of a wideband programmable gain amplifier

摘要 基于台积电0.18μm工艺,设计一款频率为0~100 MHz的宽带可编程增益放大器(programmable gain amplifier,PGA)。采用闭环反馈结构,主要设计运算放大器(operational amplifier,OPA)、电阻反馈网络、2-4译码器和直流失调校准电路(direct current offset cancellation,DCOC)4部分电路。仿真结果表明:该PGA电路的动态范围为0~18 dB,步进为6 dB,带宽为100 MHz,噪声系数(noise factor,NF)低于15 dB,芯片面积为247μm×180μm。 This design is based on the TSMC 0.18 μm process to design a wideband programmable gain amplifier (PGA) with a frequeney of 0-100 MHz. This design adopts closed-loop feedback structure, mainly design the operational amplifier (OPA) , resistor feedback network, 2-4 decoder and direct current offset cancellation (DCOC) circuit four parts. The simulation results show that the PGA' s dynamic range is 0-18 dB, the step is 6 dB, the bandwidth is 100 MHz, the noise faetor(NF) is lower than 15 dB, and the area of the chip is 247 μm×180 μm.
