At present, the design and manufacture of aviation products in China are in the development stage, and many processes and links need to be gradually established and improved. This paper will start from the background of the development of safety management system, compare the difference between safety management system and design assurance system, continuous airworthiness system and quality management system, and take the 12 elements of safety management system as the starting point to analysis the ideas and plans for the establishment and improvement of the safety management system in the civil aviation products design and manufacturing organization.
