Yan Ke Chan Wei was written by Ma Yuncong, an ophthalmologist in Kangxi during the Qing Dynasty. The book is rich in theory, more innovate, closely combined with clinical medicine, the treatment and medication are very unique . It has covered the shortage of the former, especially in the ophthalmopathy among the elderly people , women and children, with a unique view, profound theory, novel treatment and outstanding curative effect. It has important clinical value. In this paper, the academic characteristics of ophthalmopathy among elderly people , women and children in Yan Ke Chan Wei are discussed from the theoretical value, the clinical features and the drug use, in order to provide reference for the theoretical study and clinical practice of the ophthalmology of TCM.
