《德都蒙古史诗文化研究》是一部学术著作,这是继萨仁格日勒教授《史诗〈江格尔〉与蒙古文化》(1998)《蒙古史诗生成论》(2001)等相关史诗专著之后的又一部史诗研究倾心之作。精心研究当今流传于青海、甘肃两省境内的蒙古人中流传的史诗及其文化现象的专著。该专著将文本分析的理念,较为系统地投射到了德都蒙古史诗各异文和诸多史诗的文化特征,在史诗艺人及其演唱规律和记忆秘诀的理论探讨中,作者立足口头文本及其演唱相关的文化细节,对《汗青格勒》《道里精海巴图尔》等史诗的文化范畴和表演观念等丰富内涵,进行了多角度的分析和阐释,不仅深化了德都蒙古史诗研究,也拓展了整个蒙古史诗研究,为区域史诗文化研究提供一项合理的参考范例。

Study of Khohnuur Mongolian Epic Culture is another academic work following the two monographs Epic Jiangar and the Mongolian Culture(1998) and Generation of Mongol Epic(2001) by Professor Sarangerel,who devoted herself to the study of epics. This book elaborately studied the epics and their cultural phenomena circulating among Mongolians in Khohnuur and Gansu provinces in China. The idea of text analysis is systematically projected into the cultural features of the various epic texts. In the theoretical discussion of the epic artists and their singing rules and memorizing secrets,the author based on the oral text and the cultural details relating to their singing,and made researches into the epic texts Khan Chingel and the epic Doljinkhai Baatar. The rich connotations of the cultural categories and performance concepts of the epics have been analyzed and explained from various angles,which not only deepened the study of Mongolian epics in Khohnuur,but also extended the study of the whole Mongolian epics,and provided a reasonable reference model for the study of regional epic culture.
