李炳英先生学术研究简述

A Brief Introduction to Li Bing-ying's Academic Research

李炳英先生是四川师范学院(现西华师范大学)第一任中文系主任。20世纪三四十年代,先生为四川教育界做出过巨大的贡献。李炳英先生是一位国学学者,曾长期致力于《庄子》《孟子》《史记》等典籍的研究。今年距他去世已近六十年,他当年的很多著作已经不容易找到,亟待整理和进一步研究。

Li Bing-ying was the first director of the Chinese Department of Sichuan Normal College （now China West Normal University）. During the 1930s and 1940s,he made a great contribution to the educational world in Si- ehuan. Mr. Li Bingyin was a scholar in studies of classical Chinese culture,who had long been devoted to the study of the classics of Chuang-tzu,Mencius,Records of the Historian and so on. It is nearly sixty years since his death this year. It is not easy to find his books that need to be sorted out and further studied.
