This paper expounds the connotation and characteristics of digital economy, and analyzes the presentsituation and main bottleneck of Hunan digital economy. This paper probes into the countermeasures of accelerating thedevelopment of digital economy and promoting the construction of ＂strong economic province＂ in Hunan province fromthe aspects of ramming up new foundation, strengthening new industry, building new engine, practicing new thinking,constructing new regulation and so on.
