Since the establishment of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regionin 1958, the music and dancing arts of Guangxi have made great progress and development, l.ooking back the 60 year devel opment, the music and dancing arts of Guangxi have rooted into the tradition, and also made innova tions. They have not only made great achievements in ethnic and folk arts, professional creation and performance, and musical and dancing education and research, but also indicated the future direction for further development.
