改革开放以来,中国新闻学及其各分支学科(应用新闻学、理论新闻学、历史新闻学)与经济社会、与新闻实践同步发展,学科内容日渐充实,研究水平不断提升,取得了丰硕成果和显著成绩。中国新闻学的发展有着宏大而深厚的背景。新闻实践的发展为中国新闻学发展提供了原动力。不断创新发展的马克思主义新闻观,成为中国新闻学的重要内容。新闻史学研究领域拓展且体现出相当深度。未来的走向:一是与传播学协同发展;二是建构更具科学性的学科体系;三是进一步提升对决策部门、新闻业界、其他学科和教学对象的影响力;四是探索新闻学学科的发展规律。

Since the reform and opening,Chinese journalism and its various branches（applied journalism,theoretical journalism and historical journalism）have developed in parallel with the economic society and journalism practice.The content of the subject has been enriched and the research level has been continuously improved.The development of Chinese journalism has a grand and profound background.The development of journalism practice has provided the driving force for the development of journalism in China.The continuous innovation and development of Marxist journalism has become an important part of Chinese journalism.The future directions are as follows：First,coordinating development with communication study;second,constructing a more scientific system of discipline;third,further enhancing the influence on decision-making departments,journalism and other disciplines;fourth,exploring the law of journalism development.
