桐城派道统的“立”与“破”

On the "Establishment" and "Innovation" of Confucian Orthodoxy of Tongcheng School

摘要 桐城派对文体本身的重视和理论建设历来被学者称颂,且研究成果颇丰,但对其文章中道统的发掘与阐释仍有不足。桐城派自方苞至姚鼐完成了对道统的"立"——孔孟之道、程朱理学。在道统的传承过程中,桐城派诸人秉持因时而变思想,引"经济"入理论,接纳西学,翻译西方学术与文化,实现对桐城派道统的"破"即新变。不论是"立"还是"破",都是桐城派以求实为准则,对道统的传承。 The attention and theory construction of the literary form of Tongcheng School has always been praised by scholars, and the research results are quite abundant. However, there still exists insufficiency in exploring and explaining the Confucian orthodoxy in the articles. From FANG Bao to YAO Yao, the Tongcheng Faction completed the "establishment" of Confucian orthodoxy-Confucius and Mencius and CHENG-ZHU neo-Confucianism. In the process of inheriting the Confucian orthodoxy, the Tongcheng School adhered to the idea of changing with the times by introducing "economics" into the doctrine, accepting Western learning, translating Western academics and culture to realize the "innovation" of Confucian orthodoxy to bring about a new change. Whether being "establishment" or "innovation", it is the Tongcheng school that inherits the Confucian orthodoxy based on the principle of seeking truth from facts.
