摘要
在高校英语教学中,"写"一直是语言基本技能训练中必不可少的关键一环,也是提高学生语言输出水平的基础,对语言能力其他方面的发展亦起着积极的促进作用。在美学语言学的视角下,"写"的过程同时也是一个语言的审美选择过程。大学生写作水平的提高离不开审美意识的培养,而语言的审美必然首先落实到词的表现力上。中英两种语言在思维模式、乐音趋向和文化心理三个方面表现出的审美差异都对大学生英语写作中词汇的选择产生一定程度的影响。
Writing has long been regarded as an indispensable part of college English education and an impor- tant way of language training. From the perspective of esthetic linguistics, the process of writing is also a process of esthetic choice. The cultivation of college students' esthetic awareness is crucial to the improvement of their writing. As words are the foundation of a language, the esthetic choice of words is of prime importance to esthetic linguistics. This paper is intended to explore the differences between English and Chinese esthetic choices of words in terms of students' thinking pattern, cultural mentality, and musical effect of words.
