In the engineering construction in the Northwest region, collapsible loess is one of the more common geological problems,which has a great influence on the quality of the project and the construction progress. This paper analyzes the forming causes of thecollapsible loess, it can not only understand the geological conditions of the area, but also make reasonable and effective treatment measure s. It is also conducive to the smooth development o fthe construction management work, to ensure the construction quality and improve the construction progress.
