Structure insight of GSDMD reveals the autoinhibition basis in cell pyroptosis

摘要 With the support by the National Natural Science Foundation of China,a research group led by Prof.Li JiXi(李继喜)from Fudan University demonstrates that the C-terminal of gasdermin D(GSDMD-C)acts as an autoinhibition executor and its N-terminal domain could form pore structures via a charge-charge interaction upon cleavage by caspases during cell pyroptosis,which was published in PNAS(2017。 With the support by the National Natural Science Foundation of China,a research group led by Prof.Li JiXi(李继喜)from Fudan University demonstrates that the C-terminal of gasdermin D(GSDMD-C)acts as an autoinhibition executor and its N-terminal domain could form pore structures via a charge-charge interaction upon cleavage by caspases during cell pyroptosis.
