Research and Compilation of the Overview of the Historical Maps of Hubei Province

通过主持《湖北省历代地图成果概览》图集的编辑设计工作,在项目实施过程中开展了图集编制研究。从资料收集、图幅甄选、文字解读、地图修编、美工设计等图集编制的几个重要环节以及图集创新诸多方面进行重点阐述,对图集的技术实现作了总结性说明。

We were in charge of the project which was to edit and design the atlas of the Overview of the Historical Maps of Hubei Province, and carried out the work of compiling and research the atlas during the implementation of the project. In this article, we focused on several key aspects of the compilation of atlas, such as data collection, sheet selection, text interpretation, graphic design and so on. And then, we laid emphasis on the innovation of this atlas and summarized the technologies used to make the atlas.
