The development of economy and the change of people＇s values have created the condition for the take-off of the housekeeping industry as well as the household education in the new period.As important promoters and participants of local economy,it is necessary and urgent for local undergraduate universities to set up the major of domestic science,which is not only an inevitable choice to solve the high demand for high-level talents in the household market,but also an effective way to concentrate on the characteristics of＂ having what other universities don＇t have and having better one when others have it＂.Based on this,local undergraduate universities which set up the major of domestic science must implementate way selection by identifying the target of cultivation,building a curriculum system based on ＂the cultivation of professional core competence＂,smoothing circulation channels of teachers and enhancing industry confidence.
