普惠金融发展对城乡收入差距的影响——基于西部地区面板数据的实证研究

The Impact of Inclusive Financial Development on Urban-Rural Income Gap——An Empirical Study Based on Panel Data in the Western Region

基于变异系数法,测算出西部12个省区2007—2016年普惠金融发展水平,并通过面板数据实证检验普惠金融对城乡收入差距的影响。结果表明:西部地区普惠金融整体处于劣势水平,省区间差距较大且呈加剧趋势,但发展趋势良好;正规金融加剧了城乡收入差距,而普惠金融发展显著缩小了差距,二、三产业发展对城乡收入差距存在正效应论;从普惠金融各维度看,金融服务可得性、金融服务使用性维度对缩小城乡收入差距具有显著效果。最后从金融机构、政府等角度提出完善普惠金融体系的政策建议。

Based on the coefficient of variation method, this paper calculates the development level of inclusive finance in the 12 provinces and regions in the west of China from 2007 to 2016, and empirically tests the impact of inclusive finance on the urban-rural income gap through panel data. The results show that： Inclusive finance in the western region is at a disadvantage level overall, and the gap between provinces is large and intensifying, but the development trend is good. Formal finance has aggravated the income gap between urban and rural areas, while the development of inclusive finance has significantly narrowed the gap. The development of secondary and tertiary industries has a positive effect on the urban-rural income gap.From the perspective of all aspects of inclusive finance： the availability of financial services and the dimension of financial services use have a significant effect on narrowing the income gap between urban and rural areas. Finally, from the perspective of financial institutions and governments, the policy recommendations for improving the inclusive financial system are proposed.
