从现存资料看,潘岳无论是人品还是文品,都存在着极大争议。《闲居赋》是争论的聚集点之一。作为在史书上留下"乾没不已"形象的潘岳,居然也艳羡归隐,在元好问那里被冠以"失真"的名号,认为其心口不一。但细读文本不难发现,潘岳存在隐逸思想是毋庸置疑的,只是这种隐逸不应被抬高为"高情",也不应被贬低为"失真",是带有烟火之气的享乐式栖居。
