新媒体时代中国传统文化在英语教学中的角色应用

语言与文化之间存在不可分割的联系,大学英语不但传输语言知识,同时也向学生渗透传统文化。在文化中除了学习西方先进的思想外,也包括母语文化的学习。但是,目前大部分英语教学中,无论是在教材的编撰上,还是在实际教学活动中,所涉及到的内容大多以西方文化为主,中国传统文化甚是缺失,导致很多学生无法用英语表述传统知识,进而产生"中国文化失语症"。尤其是在新媒体时代背景下,中西方的交流日渐多样,中国文化走向世界的前提必须打破"失语症"的阻碍。对此,文章将对中国文化失语症产生的原因进行分析,并对中国传统文化在英语教学中应用的重要性,以及具体应用措施进行阐述和研究。

There is an inseparable relationship between language and culture. College English not only transmits language knowledge, but also penetrates traditional culture to students. Besides the learning of advanced western ideas, the learning of culture alsoincludes the learning of mother-tongue culture. However, in most English teaching at present, whether in the compilation of textbooksor in practical teaching activities, most of the contents involved are mainly Western culture, and Chinese traditional culture is verymissing. Asa result, many students are unable to express traditional knowledge in English, which leads to aphasia of Chinese culture.Especially in the background of the new media era, the communication between China and the West is becoming more and more diverse. The premise of the world must break the barrier of aphasia. In this paper, the causes of Chinese cultural aphasia are analyzed,and the importance of the application of Chinese traditional culture in English teaching, as well as the specific application measuresare expounded and studied.
