Brief Discussion on the Supply of Tea in Tibet

西藏的茶叶主要是由四川雅安、云南等地经过茶马古道运输过去的。印度茶叶于19世纪开始进入西藏。西藏民主改革后,国家十分重视西藏人民对茶叶的需求,不仅加大产茶区种植面积、提升产量、加大供给力度,而且在西藏开辟茶园,以提升其自产茶能力。

The tea consumed in Tibet was mainly transported by the ancient tea horse road from Yunnan, Sichuan, and other places. Indian tea entered into Tibet in the 19 thcentury. After the democratic reform in Tibet, China has attached great importance to the demand of tea in Tibet, increasing the planting area of tea, promoting the tea production to increase tea supply and opening up tea gardens in Tibet to enhance the capacity to produce tea.
