10月1日是中国的国庆节，1949年10月1日，是中国的第一年国庆节。在那时候，人们非常高兴，因为中国从此自由了，战争己经停止了。所以每年的这天，人们升起国旗庆祝。全国公共假期7天，很多人会选择这时候探望亲友或是旅行。当周年的年份是五的倍数时（如50，55，或60），将会举行大规模的官方庆典，包括在天安门广场举行阅兵仪式。
Oct.lst is the National Day of China. In 1949 Oct. 1st, it was the first year of the national day of China. At that time, people were very happy, because China has been free and the war has just stopped. Then every year of this day, people put the national flag out to celebrate.
