This paper mainly describes the origin and developmental history of several goldenpigments,such as gold and its alloys, smoked silver and its alloys, copper and its alloys, tincompounds, colored aluminum powders, and pearlescent pigments. Although the materials andprocesses vary, they all produce a golden glow. It is because of the continuous development andevolution of gold pigments that the application range of gold pigments is more and more extensive, andthe wider application field will certainly promote the faster development of gold pigments.
