The huaikai of Changxing is Jiangnan Xiaoyan＇an, which has a long tradition of revolution. Changxing is located in the center of the Yangtze River Delta and has an important strategic position. The Yangfeng Temple of Wentang Village in Changxing County was selected as the headquarters ofthe New Fourth Army and the Jiangsu Zhejiang Military Region. The establishment of the JiangsuJiangsu military region is like a ＂nail＂ in the Yangtze River Delta region occupied by the Japanese and thePuppet regime. After the establishment of Changxing, theJiangsu Jiangsu military area obtained a series of military victories, which hampered the arrogance of the Japanese and Puppet regimes, greatly encouraged the local people＇s revolutionary enthusiasm, and accelerated the establishment of the antiJapanese base areas in western Zhejiang.
