Artistic Enthusiasm: Feng Zikai's Artistic Creation and Teaching in Guilin

1938年到1939年间,艺术家、散文家丰子恺曾因躲避战火而流寓西南,其中,在桂林生活的九个多月成为了丰子恺漫画、散文等创作及教学实践的重要阶段。值得一提的是,丰子恺在此段时间写就的《教师日记》不仅对于后世研究丰子恺其人具有重要的史料价值,更成为桂林文化城研究的一份重要资料,颇具研究整理价值。

From 1938 to 1939,Feng Zikai,an artist and the essayist,had rambled around the southwest China for avoiding the war. During that time,he once lived in Guilin for more than nine months. The period he lived in Guilin has been an important stage of Feng Zikai＇s artistic creation and teaching. It is worth mentioned that his Teacher’s Diary written during this period has an important historical value for not only the study on Feng Zikai,but also the study of the Guilin cultural city.
