通过梳理前贤今人之成果,考定周穆王一行自"敦煌"东归并未走河西走廊"大路",而是选择了"走廊南山道"前往"张掖"。"重氏"所在之"黑水之阿",即今张掖市临泽县西南一带,"黑水"即今"张掖河"。"苏谷"即今"珠龙关谷地"。"采石"即今"祁连彩玉","采石之山"就在今肃南裕固族自治县大河乡境内。至于"长湠"(1),则非今"热水大坂"莫属,为沟通黑河河谷与托勒河谷的天然孔道。
