摘要
汉英两种语言和文化的差异使得中文英译过程中需要进行一定的改写,以使得译文更好地为读者所接受。框架语义理论是一种跨学科的意义理论,而翻译研究同样兼顾语言和文化等多方面因素,二者的跨学科性特征决定了框架语义理论可以用以指导翻译实践。本文探讨了框架理论在词义的选择、原文信息的增添与删减、语篇的调整与重构等方面英译改写中的应用。
The differences both in the two languages and cultures necessitate the method of adaptation in Chinese-English translation for the sake of better acceptability. The interdisciplinary characteristics of the frame semantic theory and translation studies make it possible to apply the frame semantic theory in translation. This paper explores the application of frames in Chinese-English translation, especially in information amplification and omission, choice of word meaning, and discourse adjustment and reconstruction.
