With the chief curator of Marco Scotini from Italy, The Second Yinchuan Biennial has invited 80 groups (92 participating artists) from 30 countries along the Silk Road, and especially focuses on China’s western border (Mongolia-Middle Asia-Southeast Asia) , refecting on and demonstrating that. The theme of this exhibition “Starting from the Desert-Ecologies on the Edge” aims to consider this exhibition within Ningxia’s geographical and historical context. Based on the global cultural atmosphere, this exhibition endeavors to redesign the spiritual-historical destiny of many ancient Chinese people’s nomadic experience in Northwest China that Yinchuan has represented.
