当代儒商的宗旨是"道创财富,德济天下",使命是"以儒促商,以商兴儒"。所谓"道创财富",就是"君子爱财,取之有道",儒商就是商界的"君子",其职责就是运用儒家商道智慧为社会创造更多的财富。所谓"德济天下",就是"穷则独善其身,达则兼善天下",儒商就是商界的"志士",平时要修养品德立身于世,经营企业则要担负起兼顾所有"利益相关者"的社会责任。所谓"以儒促商",就是将传统的儒家治国之道转化成现代企业的治理智慧,促进企业的持续发展、长治久安。所谓"以商兴儒",就是深入探索"企业儒学"的实践应用与理论升华,反哺儒学,推动儒家思想在当代的创造性转化和创新性发展。

What ＂benefiting the world with virtue＂ means is that ＂If you fail to attain your ambition, maintain your personal integrity; if you attain your ambition, benefit the world＂. Confucian businessmen refer to those of resolution and integrity in business circle who should cultivate their moral character and establish themselves in the society in daily life, but should take the social responsibility of taking all the ＂stakeholders＂ into account in operating enterprises. What ＂promoting business with Confucianism＂ means is to transform the traditional Confucian way of governing the country into the managing wisdom of modem enterprises to promote the sustainable development and long-term stability of enterprises.
