The Spatial Analysis of Poverty in the Western Ethnic Areas

西部民族地区的贫困与其社会经济、地理空间特征密切相关,分布呈现出空间地理位置上的集中性:贫困分布与少数民族分布高度重叠,与集中连片特困区高度重叠,与省界或边境地带相互交织,与地形复杂气候恶劣的高原、山地、沙漠和石漠区域高度重合。在此从空间贫困的角度入手,深入揭示西部民族地区贫困形成的内在空间循环机理,这是从根本上治理该地区贫困顽疾应有的视角和思路。

The poverty in western minority regions is closely related to the social and economic geographical spatial characteristics. The distribution of this poverty shows a spatial geographical concentration：poor distribution and concentrated in contiguous destitute areas are highly overlapped, the distribution of poverty in provincial or border areas are interwove, the areas with high rates of poverty and those plateau, mountain, desert and rocky desertification with complex terrain and bad weather are highly coincided. From the perspective of spatial poverty, this paper reveals the mechanism of the spatial circulation of poverty in the western minority areas is the key perspective and thought as fundamentally governing the chronic poverty in these areas.
