70 Years Devoted to Education——A Study on Gu Mingyuan's Educational Philosophy, in Honor of Him

顾明远先生基于马克思主义,结合中国教育教学实践,提出并建立了系统的现代教育理论,且善于运用唯物辩证法探讨、研究复杂的教育问题。他的教育思想"以人为本",出发点和归宿是对学生的挚爱。顾先生学贯中西,通晓古今,将自己的教育思想扎根于中国传统文化之基,而又融入国际文化之视野,引领并构建了教育研究的文化范式。他是终身学习者的典范,教育思想也因此具有了发展性、开放性、创新性、批判性和现代性。

Based on Marxism and Chinese education practice, Mr. GU Mingyuan proposed and established a systematic modern education theory, and is good at using materialist dialectics to explore complex educational issues. His educational philosophy is ＂people-oriented＂, with loving students as the starting point and destination. Mr. GU thoroughly understands both Chinese and Western cultures and has a sound knowledge of the ancient and modern. He has rooted his educational philosophy on the foundation of Chinese traditional culture, and integrated it into a broad perspective of international culture, taking the lead in the construction of a cultural paradigm for educational research. He is a model of lifelong learner, and his educational philosophy is therefore developmental, open, innovative, critical and modern.
