大学的本质在于求真育人——顾明远大学理想研究

顾明远是当代中国著名教育家。他认为大学的理想就是大学的价值观,它引导着各国大学以至整个高等教育的航向。他把大学理想看作是遗传与环境相互作用的产物,认为大学理想随着时代的发展变化而发展变化。在世界大学发展史上存在着人文主义的理想、功利主义的理想、科学研究的理想、教育机会均等的理想等不同的大学理想类型。各国大学的理想既有共性,又有个性,中国的大学理想应是科学的、民主的、民族的理想。大学最本质的特征在于求真育人,坚持求真育人是大学理想的核心。

Gu Mingyuan is a famous educationist in contemporary China. He believes that the idea of the university is the value on the university. It guides the course of universities and even the higher education system in all countries. He regards the idea of the university as the product of interaction between heredity and environment, and it develops and changes with the times. There are different types of ideas of the university in the history of universities from a global perspective, such as the idea of humanism, the idea of utilitarianism, the idea of scientific research, the idea of equal educational opportunity and so on. The ideas of universities in different countries have both similarities and individuality. China＇s idea of the university should be a scientific, democratic and national one. The most essential feature of a university lies in seeking truth and cultivating talents which is the core of the idea of the university.
