In Biography of Xiangyu, of Historical Records, languages employed by its characters in terms of dialogue, monologue and body language were so concise and accurate that their individual personality was best dramatized. The author Si Maqian explored his literary talent to integrate body language with verbal language to achieve a linguistic action. On the other hand, the author refrained himself from surfacing the underlying meaning explicitly so as to escalate the conflicts and develop the plot in-depth. In addition, the language used by the characters highlighted their images in that the manner and inner language fully manifested their personality.
