Three protagonists in the novel The Devotion of Suspect X named Shi Shen, Yukawa, and Hua Gang Jing Zi. They form a relationship between the characters that promotes the development of the story. Shi Shen＇s devotion to Jing Zi actually reflected the spiritual confusion inside him, while Jing Zi＇ s feelings toward him actually went through a process of gratitude, fear and then shock and breakdown after learning the truth. Si Shen＇s trick is set by mathematics but Yukawa＇s case is solved by physics. Shi Shen only has excellent cognitive reason but lacks moral reason. A lofty spirit and the care of reality coexist for Yukawa. Finally, his mathematical logic succumbed to rational logic.
