As Kawabata Yasunari＇s world-renowned immortal work, his elaborate depiction of natural beauty, eulogy of ecological humanity, emphasis on and love of traditional Japanese handicraft industry, and praise of the idea ofthe unity of things and ourselves can undoubtedly activate modern people in ecological predicament and make them learn how to poetically inhabit the earth.
