功能对等理论下影视字幕翻译策略探析——以美剧《复仇》为例

Analysis on Subtitle Translation Strategy of Films and TV Series from the Perspective of Functional Equivalence Theory——Taking American TV Series Revenge as an Example

在当前全球化的发展趋势下,影视字幕翻译成为一个新兴的翻译领域,众多学者正日益关注字幕翻译的原则、方法和策略研究。本文以美国电视剧《复仇》的字幕翻译为实例分析,探讨功能对等理论在影视字幕翻译中的应用,进而提出相应的翻译策略并指出译者要围绕文化传播模式,使用灵活有效的翻译策略,努力使目的语受众能像原语观众一样欣赏到纯正原味的优秀影视作品。

In the current trend of globalization, subtitle translation of films and TV series has become a new field of translation, attracting increasing attention of many scholars on the principles, methods and strategies of subtitle translation. This paper, taking the subtitle translation of the American TV series ＂revenge＂ as a sample analysis, explores the application of functional equivalence theory in subtitle translation of films and TV series, puts forward the corresponding translation strategies and proposes that translators should center on the cuhural transmission mode and use flexible and effective translation strategies to make the target audience enjoy the same appreciation of excellent original work as audience of the original language.
