With high levels of pressure in social life, the morbidity of depression has been raised nowadays. The development of clinical medicine and sociology give us a chance to learn more about this, therefore, the diagnosis rates has been increased. The cause of depression is unclear, at the same time, the traditional therapy has a lot of restrictions. For example, a lot of medicine has side effects that many patients can't bear and counseling guidance is expensive that a lot of them can't afford it. Brain-gut-microorganism axis has a deep impact on the development of depression through neural, endocrine and immune pathway. The paper focuses on the progress of the relationship between brain-gut-microorganism axis and depression, wishing create a new idea for clinical work.
