摘要
随着计算机和互联网技术的不断进步,数字化、网络化、智能化已成为时代大潮。人工智能的发展为医疗等传统行业的发展带来了新的契机。眼科是以影像学诊断为主的学科,有与人工智能深度结合的研发潜力。早产儿视网膜病变(ROP)是一种视网膜血管增生性病变,新技术的介入将变革疾病的预测、检查、诊断、治疗、康复等多个环节。本文以ROP为例,介绍了人工神经网络、远程医疗、眼底图像自动诊断、手术机器人、电子助视器、视觉假体等新技术新应用,简述了人工智能时代下眼科诊疗面临的机遇与挑战。
As the computer and internet technologies develop, digitization, cyberization and intelligence have become main trends these days. Artificial intelligence (AI) is producing new turning points for many traditional professions including medicine. Ophthalmology holds a fine potential in integrating with AI, because its diagnosis mainly depends on images. Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) is caused by disorganized growth of retinal blood vessels. New techniques are affecting the prediction, examination, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of this disease. This article took ROP as an example to introduce some new technologies such as artificial neural network, telemedicine, automatic diagnosis of fundus photographs, robotic surgery, electronic typoscope, visual prosthesis, and to sketch the opportunities and challenges of ophthalmology in the age of AI.
