In 2014, the bilateral relationship between Egypt and China was upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership, providing new opportunities for the development of both sides in various fields,especially in the fields of the economy and trade. The bilateral trade volume reached USD 11.6 billion that year,and China became Egypt’s largest trading partner, a status that has been maintained up until this point in time.
