On April 18,1980,China and Zimbabwe formally established diplomatic relations. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties 38 years ago, the two countries have always understood each other, supported each other, helped each other, and have forged a profound friendship with one another. This bilateral pragmatic cooperation has yielded fruitful results. The China-Tianjin relationship is a model for China-Africa solidarity and cooperation. In 2017, the bilateral trade volume was USD 1.

Since the estab-lishment of diplomatic ties 38 years ago, the two countries have always understood each other, supported each other, helped each other, and have forged a profound friendship with one another. Tis bilateral prag-matic cooperation has yielded fruitful results. The China-Tianjin relation-ship is a model for China-Africa sol-idarity and cooperation. In 2017, the bilateral trade volume was USD 1.317 billion, an increase of 18% year-on-year, of which China’s exports were USD 444 million, up 14.5% year-on-year, and imports were USD 873 mil-lion, up 20% year-on-year. In April 2018, the two countries established a comprehensive strategic partnership.
