The View of Book Publishing and Diffusing of Modern Gansu Intellectuals

甘肃近代知识分子是该地区图书出版传播活动中一股不可忽视的力量。创办陇右乐善书局的刘尔炘先生,主持甘肃丛书编印馆的张维先生,创立陇南丛书编印社的冯国瑞先生就是其中的代表。知识分子的加入使得甘肃近代图书出版呈现出注重传统学术、保护地方文化、强调书籍社会价值的出版特色。

The power/function of Gansu modern intellectuals cannot be neglected for the local book publishing and diffusing.Among the clerisy,there are three important people which are Liu Er-xin,the founder of Longyou leshan press,Zhang Wei who charges the Gansu series of books printing bureau and Feng Guo-rui who set up the Longnan series of books printing house. The participation of these intellectuals makes Gansu modern book publishing take on three main features： laying emphasis on traditional academy,protecting local culture and emphasizing the social value of books.
