党的十九大报告提出,当代中国共产党人和中国人民要担负起新的文化使命,在实践创造中进行文化创造,在历史进步中实现文化进步,这集中体现了习近平关于中国特色社会主义文化建设的核心精神。习近平从人类文明发展、人的精神力量和人的解放阐述文化内涵,强调了文化自信的突出地位,这是新的文化使命提出的认识基础;从文化立场、指导理论和时代导向,提出了推进中华文化创造和进步的中国特色社会主义文化建设总要求,明确了新的文化使命的行动方针;从民族复兴、世界意义,强调了中华文化创造和进步在促进人类文明发展中的主体性和主动性,把开辟21世纪马克思主义的新境界作为新的文化使命的崇高目标。这些方面构成了习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想的重要内容。
