基于ESP教学模式转型下的英语教师职业发展研究

Research on English Teachers′ Professional Development Based on ESP Teaching Mode Transition

随着职业教育的深化和发展,大学英语教学应满足企业对学生的职场英语需求的变化。大学英语教学改革正从英语语言基础的教学转向ESP教学,ESP教学不仅要求英语教师具备一定的英语知识,而且还要具备一定的行业知识,而大学英语教师行业知识的欠缺制约了ESP教学的发展。ESP教学师资的不足成为制约英语教学改革的瓶颈,如何培养合格的ESP教师成为当前首要的任务。本文通过对ESP需求下英语教师发展的研究,探索英语教师职业发展的可行途径。

With the deepening and development of vocational education,college English should meet changes from enterprises for students′working English level.College English teaching reform is transferring from English basic teaching into ESP teaching.ESP is a specific purpose English used for a related realm concerning with students′specialty,emphasizing characteristics of specialty,professionalism and practicality.ESP English teaching not only require English teacher equipped with certain knowledge of English,but also decorated with professional acquisition,whilst deficiency of profession career limited development of ESP teaching.Thus inadequacy of teaching staff becomes bottleneck confining English teaching reform.How to cultivate qualified ESP teacher becomes a primary task at the present moment.The essay explored feasible access to English teachers′professional development via the research on English teachers′development under the need of SPA.
