This paper introduces an oil spill defect of the respirator of 500 kV transformer,analyzes the causes of the defect,introduces the treatment process,and checks and confirms that the capsule of the oil storage tank is damaged,and puts forward the improvement measures to prevent and detect the capsule damage in time.It further explains the necessity of installing capsule damage monitoring device in transformer,introduces the capsule damage monitoring technology,recommends the use of gas detection method,and puts forward improvement suggestions for the detection equipment of this method.
