The Comparative Test of New Sugarcane Varieties

以ROC22为对照(CK),通过对桂南亚08-212、桂糖08-1589、桂糖07-25、桂糖07-1062、桂糖07-108进行1年新植1年宿根品比试验,探索其农艺性状和经济性状,评估其在生产上的推广价值。结果表明:桂糖08-1589综合性状较好,属中大茎品种,蔗茎产量高,优于ROC22,很有推广前景。桂南亚08-212属中小茎品种,分蘖力强,植株较高,有效茎多,蔗茎产量高,糖分高,但不易脱叶,蔗茎较硬,不易人工砍收,在目前人工砍收的条件下,推广有一定的难度。桂糖07-25、桂糖07-1062由于产量低而不适合本蔗区推广。桂糖07-108属中大茎品种,表现一般,有待进一步观察。

A variety comparative test was conducted on cane varieties GNY08-212, GT08-1589, GT07-25, GT07-1062, GT07-108 with ROC22 as the check variety for one year new-planting and one year rationing.. Their agronomic traits and economic characters were studied, and their possibility of mass production were evaluated. The results showed that GT08-1589 was mid-to-big-stalked with good comprehensive properties and high yield. It performed better than ROC22 and showed good prospect. GNY08-212 was mid-to-small-stalked with strong tillering ability, high stalk length, numerous millable canes, high yield and high sucrose content. But it’s hard to be defoliated and with hard stems disadvantageous for manual harvesting, which hindered its extension in case of current manual harvesting situation. GT07-25 and GT07-1062 were hard to extended in this cane area because of their low cane yields. GT07-108 was mid-to-large-stalked with plain performance and needed more observation.
