"Being poverty-stricken is miserable, but what is even worse is that impoverished children have little hope for their future," Luo Li, a native of Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei Province, was recently quoted as saying. During the past decade, Luo has made great efforts to help left-behind children (whose parents have left their homes to work elsewhere) in Ziyun Miao and Buyi Autonomous County, in Southwest China's Guizhou Province, improve their lives.
