本文对于装饰艺术理论的研究主要集中在以下几个方面,装饰的概念,范围,中外研究现状以及研究方法,并给出案例分析。装饰真正意义上的科学研究始于现代,在艺术学考古学等学科的促进下,中国在装饰艺术理论研究上已经取得了一些成就,很多高校也开设了装饰艺术的课程,但是课程大都是构图形式上的训练,理论上,有关装饰的一些基本问题并未解决,装饰艺术的概念和范畴还未有理论给予全面揭示。
