摘要
目的:探讨家长对孩子学业成败的评价与儿童努力程度、自尊水平的关系。方法:以就读于广州某中学初一年级学生的父母亲共90人为研究对象,采用描述主人公在自尊、努力程度和学业表现上有所不同(自尊高低、学习努力与不努力、考试成功与失败)的阅读材料,让家长对孩子成绩的成败进行评价。结果:当家长面对孩子的学业成功时,家长评价方式与孩子的自尊之间存在显著相关;当家长面对孩子的学业失败时,并未发现家长对孩子的评价与孩子自尊之间的关联。结论:家长倾向于弱化对高自尊孩子的成功评价,而强调对低自尊孩子的成功评价;当家长面对孩子的学业失败时,未发现家长对孩子的评价与孩子自尊之间的关联。
Objective To explore the relationship among parents’ evaluation of children’s academic success,children’s effort and self-esteem. Methods A total of 90 parents of the first grade students in a middle school inGuangzhou were studied. The parents were analyzed to describe the protagonist’s reading materials of self-esteem,effort and academic performance (self-esteem, study effort and failure, test success and failure), so as to evaluate thesuccess or failure of their children. Results When parents face their children’s academic success, there isasignificant correlation between parental evaluation and children’s self-esteem. When parents face their children’sacademic failure, there is no relationship to be found between their parents’ evaluation of children and theirchildren’s self-esteem. Conclusion Parents tend to weaken the successful evaluation of high self-esteem children,and emphasize the success of low self-esteem children. When parents face their children’s academic failure, there isno relationship to be found between the parents’ evaluation of children and the children’s self-esteem.
